Jilian Michaels Skinny Tips and Craving Busters

In the recent episode of the daily dose (below), Jillian talks about ways to help us feel full and beat cravings.

Walnuts and Almonds will help keep you full longer (only 8 almonds or 5 walnuts). Eat these before and it helps you eat less.

Brush you teeth throughout the day. Most of us won’t eat pizza after brushing our teeth.

If you REALLY have a craving for something eat THREE Bites of it and wait 10 minutes. This stops you from being/feeling deprived. This can be easier said then done, but if you pull it off, you feel empowered and you stifled your craving.

Wear tight clothing. When you feel your clothing clinging to you, we typically don’t like how it feels. In the video below Janice wears a pair of Spanx and she says it makes her feel very conscious about her size.

Don’t cook pasta quite as long and it makes it a little firmer and healthier for you and boost your metabolism.

Psyllium Husk Fiber supplement before you eat will expand in your stomach to have you feeling full.

I started using psyllium husk powder after hearing about it on Jillian’s podcast. I sprinkle it in my oatmeal or quinoa at breakfast (along with other ingredients), or occasionally have it Metamucil-style, as a drink with lemon juice and stevia for sweetening. It doesn’t make a very appealing drink, but it gets the job done. I would recommend it as an added ingredient to certain foods, though.

Great tips. I have done all of them before, and they actually do work! Especially the one where you “ruin the food” with something gross…..hello kitty box litter. That one really works!

on a video Jillian mentions to take Psyllium Husks capsules. I purchased some and they are 525mg. How many should I have a day?
It says on the bottle 5 capsules 3 times a day. Good Lord that seems like an awful lot. I’m not constipated just following Jillian’s tip. Hope you can help me out.
