The first episode was WOW. Ok, I’m biased, but it was really good. It pulled at many heart strings. Jillian hangs out with the Mastropietro family. Within 5 minutes of her showing up, the adults are ready to quit. They are almost literally screaming UNLCE.
You find out that there has been much drama in their life, and even though gastric bypass has made some of them smaller, it doesn’t fix their brain. Great quotes from Jillian. Here are some of my favorites.
“Why are you choosing to fail when success is still an option?”
“Surgery only fixed a symptom of your eating…”
I also loved the “wicked Bawston accent”
Parts of it were a little weird, as the family is being filmed as Jillian is calling them to let them know they’ve been selected. To me, when a camera crew shows up in my living room I’m going to know something is up.
The episode has its share of tears, but ends with a beautiful wedding.
